The club is formed from a committee of parents. Various positions are available from elected posts to co-opted posts. Various jobs or duties can be taken on by elected or co-opted members.

Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Kit Secretary, PB Manager, Webmaster, etc. take a look at all the jobs that need doing - come an get involved. It’s very rewarding to see a well run club.

Chairman - Andy Thornton

Chair Committee Meetings and AGM
Represent Club at key functions
Attend ASA meetings

Secretary - Jackie Patrick
Day to Day running of the Club
Act as mailbox for all external communications
Attend Committee Meetings and AGM
Attend ASA meetings or ensure that the Club is represented
Minutes for executive committee meetings
Distribute literature for swimmers/parents
Ensure all swimmers are registered and pay their fees – liaise with Treasurer

Treasurer - Jenny Holmes
Maintain computerised accounts on behalf of the Club
Report on a monthly basis to committee state of financial affairs
Ensure books are externally audited
Collect monies for various ad hock events

Fixtures / Open Secretary
Represent the Club at league meetings
Ensure the Club is entered into the appropriate leagues
Arrange all open events

Membership/Registration Secretary
Provide annual returns to ASA – record of all swimmers, officers and helpers
Ongoing throughout the year but a “peak” between Jan – March prior to annual returns.

Social Secretary
Arrange social nights for the benefit of swimmers and parents

Welfare Officer
This is an official registered position with the ASA
Ensure ASA Child Protection Guidelines are followed within the Club
Act as contact point for children in case of child abuse.

Results and PB’s - Mike Weaver
To receive gala results and maintain PB database ensuring up to date

Web editor - David Patrick
Maintain website.

Newsletter Editor - David Patrick
Produce newsletter providing information on club to parents and swimmers

Kit manager - Mark Holmes
To take control of the kit. Sales and Purchases. To check website on a weekly basis for orders or kits (perhaps to be at the desk once a month with samples of jackets, swim suits, caps, kit bags etc)

Team Managers
Attend galas at home and away
Assist the coaches with the team on the evening.
Look after the swimmers
