Leagues

Bramcote is currently competing in these leagues for the 2007/08 season:

1. Notts and District League
2. Minor Gala League - Spring Round
3. Minor Gala League - Autumn Round
4. Speedo League - Division Two
5. Diddy League (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Junior Swimming League)

There are many different types of competition which those new to swimming may find confusing. The Committee and coaches of the Club try to enter a range of competitions which are appropriate to the standard of our swimmers, in other words not all swimmers will be able to compete in every competition.

Friendly and Trophy galas
Either at home or away, we compete as a team over a full range of swimming races against other clubs. Points are awarded to the position achieved in each race and added up to give each clubs final position in the gala. We try to compete against clubs of a similar standard to ourselves. Swimmers are picked according to ability. The more lanes available, the more swimmers are picked to swim.
County Championships

This takes place from February through to March.  Events take place at Beachdale and Watermeadows in Mansfield.  Swimmers throughout the county can enter events and swim for a position in their age group in the county.  Forms will be sent to the club around November and only swimmers who have qualifying times for events will be asked to enter.  Points are awarded for positions in events (called Bagcat points).
